That was not the result of a lack of valve adjustment. That was due to a failure of the cam timing chain system. Either the chain broke or it got badly worn due to a lack of proper lubrication and jumped time. Timing chains don't stretch, they wear and get longer due to the accumulated play in the links and link pins.Hi,
