I have a question that does not pertain necessarily to the Honda Element but it does pertain to Hondas in general. I am selling a switchblade key w/ keyless entry on ebay for a 2002-2004 Honda CR-V w/ a FCC ID: OUCG8D-344H-A (I mistakenly bought it thinking it would work for my Element but the chip in the key itself is different).

I have a gentleman who is interested in buying for his 2004 CR-V but he says his keyless remote states the FCC ID for his vehicle is OUCG8D-345H-A. I wrote him back saying I wasn't sure if it would work however I can't find anything on google about a CR-V with that FCC code. He writes back saying his CR-V is a European model. Is anyone knowledgeable about American vs. European model Hondas, specifically when it comes to their keyless entry and actual chip in the blade? Will this keyless entry system work on his car or is this guy full of crap?

Thanks for your help in advance!

Sounds like this is in Yoda's wheelhouse...! Send Zack a.k.a. "Yoda E SC" a Private Message... He's the electronics guru that most/if not all defer to... Also "BigAl205" may be able to help...

Good luck...!
