When I was recently cruising on Salt Spring Island in my SLM "E" more than one very interested Canadian flagged me down (amazing!) and asked to look at the car. Several of them asked if it was a hybrid, apparently because of the "prototype" look of the vehicle. Made me wonder if there were any plans to make a hybrid version. I, for one, would be very interested. I love my "E" but would gladly trade it for a hybrid "E" . This time would get a grey interior. The black is just too dark and shows dirt easily. Hmmmm, maybe a GG next time?

cheers!

that's the one shortcoming i saw in the element, looking at it on paper. the gas mileage sucks compared to the other cars i was looking at (the vw tdi series, honda hybrids, etc).

When i tell people it gets 20/24 they are amazed. In this day and age I for one would think this to be on the low end of where most vehicles should be.

Bringing my long-windedness to a close, I also would be very interested in a hybrid element. An element's versatility, looks, and reliability PLUS ~40mpg? How could anyone say no!

seriously, an electric element is the most natural extension of a car. didn't honda design the car with an unemployed post college kid in mind? who has money for gas? anyhoo, it would be great and i have no other way of getting the info to honda.

I recently heard the same thing about a hybrid CR-V. I'm very serious about trading to a hybrid "E". If they can do it to a CR-V, hopefully the "E" would be next. For gosh sakes, it already has the "prototype" look!
