The Navi manual says that Honda has only tried up to 2GB CompactFlash cards in the Element EX Navi's stereo. Has anyone tried larger capacity CompactFlash cards? I am thinking of trying a 4GB card, since 2GB is just not enough to hold all the music I want on it.

4GB Card Works... Next Up, 8GB

Just an update here... The 4GB CompactFlash card works well! There is no delay when navigating between songs. I just got an 8GB CompactFlash SanDisk Extreme card. I should be able to leave this "Extreme" in the navi unit as it is supposed to survive extreme temperatures.

Just wanted to let you know that I've tried using a 16GB CF from SanDisk and that seems to work in some units while it doesn't work in others. So it will be a hit or miss. I've used it with no problem in my Civic Si's navi but on my friend's Civic Si navi, it doesn't work, and then my uncle's Navi in his Element works but my aunt's doesn't work.

16GB CF is a lot of storage and $. My 8GB SanDisk Extreme is working in my E.

Albeit, I'm probably going to go for a new 16GB SanDisk Extreme next, and keep my fingers crossed.
