Yesterday when I picked up my new Shoreline Mist EXS 4WD Element, I fully expected that when I first saw it, the name would be obvious. That didn't happen. All the way home (about 50 miles), I thought about the name and many different ones ran through my mind. I found the vehicle to be a little bit rebellious, a little feisty, non-conformist, fun, interesting, etc., etc. All the way home I thought the name would come to me. It didn't. Last night, I went to the garage several times and thought about a name. My E was silent and I was discouraged. This morning I got up and proceeded to wash the vehicle and put 3 coats of Zaino polish on it (a labor of love in the 90 degree heat). Between the second and third coat I went in the house to get some liquid refreshment and when I returned, the Element practically shouted to me ----------- I am a RASCAL. It is a perfect fit. My beautiful, new, rebellious, feisty, non-conformist, fun, wonderful, interesting vehicle shall forevermore be known as RASCAL. 8)

Welcome to the world, RASCAL! It's great that your "father", HEman, has shown that he will be a good Dad by using that wonderful ZAINO on you! It's the best polish I've ever used!

I'm still thinking about names myself. My E will be here next week!

Congrats!

Hehehheeee!

Rascal and HEMan - now there's a pair of fun guys. And Lordy, HEMan, 3 coats of polish in this heat? You're a saint. Rascal thanks you.

Lucy sends her regards Rascal's way.

Thanks everyone for sending good wishes for Rascal. He certainly seems to like his new home and why not, I have spent the most part of the past 2 days washing, and polishing and just generally having fun with him. I swear this vehicle is even better than I ever imagined. For me, it is almost a perfect vehicle. Honda should get busy marketing it to older folks.

Regarding the question about what I will call my motorized vehicle when I get too old, I am thinking that it will become either Rascal II or Rascal III or whatever. Unfortunately, at my age this question has more of a serious tone than a humorous one but I'm hoping my current Rascal will help keep me young at heart for quite a while and at the very least will make the transition to the "old age" Rascal a lot more fun in the next few years.

Well, must end this, time to go out and put the Rain-X on Rascal's windows. Also need to take a ride and listen to Eric Clapton Unplugged on the awesome audio system.

When i went to pick up my GGM E from the dealer I washed it twice and I must have waxed it about four times in a week just so I could be near it, while I was driving from Ohio to New Mexico, the name came to me and as soon as I have the internet up (This Sunday WOOOHOOO!!!) ((I'm at work btw)) You will all have some pictures and small vids of "The Hulk" hehe.

The "Periodic Table" has something over a hundred names of "elements" available to one and all. Many will be old friends like hydrogen, oxygen, iron, gold, and uranium -- but every time I look I discover something I never noticed before, like NEODYMIUM.

They have theorized Element 115's existence and named it UNUNPENTIUM
Its suspected properties are anti-gravity. Conspiracy theorists will claim we got this information from aliens. It would be pretty cool to see a car made out of Element 115!

I have only had my GGreen E for 5 days and have been told by 10 people that it's the uggliest car, coolest car, most different, uggiest, and f-uggiest car they've seen.

I don't mind.....and have decided to let my E defend itself on it's license plate...

It took me a while to get accustomed to the looks of the Element. Now that I own one I think it's beautiful. Yeah it's different to say the least, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
I know I'm in love when I too spend my spare time applying Zaino Bros. polish and hunting for neat little items to make "Elmo" just right.

Those of you who are waiting for delivery of your "box", congratulations and it will be worth the wait. Be sure and let us all know the new names and experiences. It's a blast! We are a unique group!
