I have an issue with my Element I can lock the door once inside but I cannot lock with the keys....
please provide any ideals

If you do a serch on lock's you will find a lot of info on fixing bad lock's.

Are the rear tailgate/hatch and passenger doors completely closed ? Rear hatch lid slightly ajar is a common culprit.
