hey all, i was considering purchasing a few of these but i want your alls opinion on whether or not you think it would ruin the paint? they mention in their FAQ's that there is a sticky residue that builds up around the print, but can be removed with degreasers. will they cause permanent damage? thanks for any input.

Assuming this is just pressure adhesive vinyl then I wouldn't be too worried. Sign shops use this as lettering on trucks all the time - and yes there is a build up of residue around the edges that will come off with degreaser but the only concern is paint fading - or actually - lack thereof where the vinyl is.

Some colors (mostly reds and blacks) will show fading around where the graphics were when removed. This is simply a function of more UV exposure to uncovered paint vs. covered paint more than anything else.

It takes a few years before any noticeable difference occurs however.
