and I bring some basic numbers for 2 tank fulls of gas. 1 being my best gas mileage and 2 being my worst.

1. (coming back)
A/C - OFF
Wind - front, behind and sides (wind was all over the place)
Speed - 77-78mph (23 miles in construction 50-55mph)
Type of gas - 91 (or 92. A few fill up has 92)
Miles driven - 256.4
Gallon of gas - 10.5
Mileage that tank - 24.5

2. (going there)
A/C - ON and OFF (about half and half)
Wind - very little
Speed - 77-78mph
Type pf gas - 91 (no 92 until later in the trip)
Miles driven - 220.3
Gallon of gas - 10.8
Mileage that tank - 20.4

I cant complain for cruising at 77mph expected worse.

My average mileage was about 22mpg (including my city driving in and around the Twin Cities).

Its your money but the element really doesn't need 91 or 92 octane if it's stock and running well.

I know but all the other gases, where I live, have Ethanol in them and I am not fond of the Ethanol mixed gas.

I think we have Ethanol in all our grades here. That's not bad mpg for driving that fast on your trip.

In my experiences Ethanol burned faster and ran rougher (2 vehicles plus some friends and family). I could try it with my E but I just haven't had good luck with it.

I have been running Shell V-Power to clean it up because I bought used and you never know how the people before you treated the vehicle. Its seems to slowly keep climbing up in mpg the longer I run V-Power. When I first got my hands on the E it was luck to get 20mpg. Now I am at about 20-21mpg.
