So the wife mentioned our '06 EXP AWD w/144k was making a noise and the battery light was on.
Battery was new 3 years ago. Voltage @ battery 12.5. At idle 13.5.
Took this to mean the battery and alternator were good. Traced noise to alternator.
Put in new alternator and belt while there. Pulley was alot harder to spin compared to new. That and discovered cracks through the housing on the OEM.
Thanks for the posts and tips here.馃憤
Started up and did the idle reset, radio code reset and even did the auto window reset.
Sounds much better but battery light still on. Take idle up to around 1200 +/- and the light goes off.
Idles around 800.
Thoughts ?
Thanks in advance.

Got a text today battery was dead. Luckily it happened in the driveway.
New battery and brought home a decent meter from work.
Reads 11.9 at idle and 11.9 @ 1200 rpm.
Voltage should go up with idle, correct?
What else is there besides the alternator and battery?
Alternator is a rebuilt but has lifetime warranty from Carquest.

Lots of stuff... wires, connectors, fuses, ELD, ECM. Bad alternator, pick one.

I find Honda鈥檚 to be finicky about pen alternators. Also get familiar with the eld operation. To test it you can disconnect it at the alternator 4-pin plug and you should get full charging voltage.
