This is the one, and Thanks to our fellow EOC member Brian aka Slimerdogs, offers this Beautiful Site of Big Bear for all of us to enjoy. I am not going to do a Poll for everyone is welcome, so! Mark your calendar and come on up and have fun.

Check in n out is at 2pm-2pm
Itineraries and Agendas:

Friday the 25th upon arrival check in @ 2 PM-Brian and I will save the best camp ground sites and later start the fire pit and get ready preparing dinners. So, if you’re planning to cook Chilies/BBQ for that evening, you’re more than welcome to share with the fire pit and I believe Brian is going to Play Acoustic Guitar and sing while cooking haha!

Saturday the 26th morning Breakfast at Grizzly Manor follows with days activities, Fishing, Kayaking and Bike Ride along the trails around the Lake or the Valley and Kamikaze for Mountain Bikers up in the Summit, Brain also offers his Boat for Scenic View tour of the Valley, and another big BBQ in the afternoon for Dinner, this is again a perfect time to show and share your own BBQ recipes.

Sunday the 27th continue Scenic Tour of the Valley and Lunch follows later, sorry Guys and Gals, Children of all ages, due to our location, their will be no Guest Speakers nor Celebrity, just EOC,ROC and CR-VOC good people having fun.

Nice! I might consider this one given that I have been going to BBL for the past couple of years and I have a place to stay. I will see how the schedule looks.
Allright and I could play the geetar!! Right!! I will bring the firewood and the toy hauler to do cooking or keeping things cool.
For those that have dogs, B's Backyard BBQ has a dog beach. You can actually sit and have a beer and food while sitting on the beach watching your dog play!
i was really looking forward to the BBL trip, but it's on the weekend we leave for Kauai to celebrate our anniversary. it's getting tougher to find a weekend that will work.
anyway, i'm sure that all that go will have a great time, but i can't honestly say that i would prefer to be there that weekend, rather than where i will be.
I will trade you.:D:D
We can make it look like HI.:)
sounds like a good idea...Perhaps I will join on Sunday morning. I have to work both Fri and Sat night, I can go saturday night after work, but its going to be a very late arrival for me, and I don't think I want to set up my tent at 1 in the morning.....

chefjames-we can always set up you're tent up early for ya! :D
Serrano is a beautiful and very popular campground.
We've camped here before and it's really a purty place.

So what's the deal on the campsites?
All the campsites at Serrano are by reservation only and Reserve America indicates that there's only 9 available campsites out of 108 for the week end of Sept 25 - 27.
Overnight temps in late September could be below freezing - ya might want to bring some mittens and lots of firewood.

Have people already reserved thier campsites?
Ok here is the schtuff I checked out. When I started to check out the campground there was a lot of empty sites and they said there is not too many reservations that take place at that time of the year. There is some sites that are left that are close together and if I get a few people that want to come that weekend I will pay to reserve 2 sites. The next weekend looks great for open spots so if everyone wants to come up that weekend we could change the dates. It does not get to freezing that early in the fall but I will bring a lot of Fire wood.:D:D Let me know if anyone already has reserved a site for that weekend.
We think we'll join you

My sister & I would really like to make this campout. Have not camped in BB for years. Was planning on going to Tahoe but I had my hours cut to 3 1/2 days a week and my sister got a pay cut. So when I stumbled across you guys going to BB we changed our plans. Our budgets are just too tight to do Tahoe this year. Are we getting a group site? Our do we need to pay in advance? Looks like all the sites are on a "reserve only" basis. Can we both camp in one site for $28?

Do you mean the first weekend in October???
It looks like the 28 is for one tow vehicle and 1 towed vehicle and extras are $5.00. The weekend after the 28th looks a lot better as there is a lot more openings. I would think that we could fit at least a few Es in one slot witch would be cheaper at $5.00 per the extra Es. Bring your dogs or cats for the dogs to eat:D and not matter what weekend we will have a blast. I have a couple CT70s and BBQ ect. A heated toybox if its too cold for some.
Brian-there are 7 single's sites available for the 25th-27th and we need to make that reservations asap, and it seems like a few people are showing little interest, I suggest to reserve 2 spots, that's good for at least 4 E's with the additional $5 per day, I am no longer free for Oct 2-4, due to work loads and company JOC meetings out of town.

Two to go

My sister & I want to come. We canceled on the Tahoe trip. Yeah, blame the economy. We'll be in two "E's" so we can take one spot. Either weekend should work for us. :D
It sounds like we will keep the 25- 27 dates and I will try to reserve 2 sites today that are close together. I will update when I get the site numbers.
What site?

If Slimerdogs reserve sites 100 & 101 I'll get 87 for my sis & I, that will give us a little more room.
chefjames-we can always set up you're tent up early for ya! :D
Thanks Romeo, but still need to figure out a way to get my tent to you.

I will meet with the rest of you on Sunday.....it will be a very nice and relaxing time for me..... :D:D

Hi Carol, it's always good to hear from you again since our last meet at Zitto's, Brian aka Slimerdogs reserved those 2 sites 100 and 101 singles, each site should be enough for 2 E's with the $5.00 more extra fee, If you're going site 87, I suggest you to make that reservation before someone else takes it ,,,Hurry!! :D

chefjames-just fyi, checkout time Sunday it's at 2 PM.
I did get the 100 and 101 sites reserved for the 25th-27th and there should be enough room for a few Es on the other site. One of them I will bring my trailer onto for us to use and bring the firewood ect. It depends on how many Eple show up but it shouldn't be a problem for all of us to use those sites.:D
It's mine

:) Okay, we're in in site #87. So we will see you in the mountains. This should be fun, weather will be cooler. I hate to miss Tahoe but its just too far at this time. See you and others in September. :D
