bike ride

Just wondering how many people would be interested in doing a combination bike ride/picnic one day. I was thinking of meeting at Blaisdell park around 10 and setting up a picnic area. Then, those of us who want to ride can go on the bike path toward Waipahu. It's about an hour ride at a very leisurly pace. Then we can eat and hang out at the park. I'm sure I mentioned this before, but I have a few bikes and can probably accomidate people from 5'2" to about 5'10" so you don't necessarily have to have a bike. I just might need help transporting them to the park if there are a lot of people who need them. Just a side note, but we should probably do this before it gets really hot.

Sounds good. How much participation should we have to make this viable Aching?
well, last time there was just the 4 of us that rode and that was fine. I figure that would be a good number for the ride and we can figure out how we want to do the picnic part by the number of people coming. if we have enough people, we can do potluck. If not, we can do the bento thing.

Sorry to take this off-topic but Tanega, do you know who the "headliner" performers will be this year?
I've been meaning to get back on my bike again (10-year-old cheapie GT) so I'm down for this one... bike probably needs an inspection/tune-up though...
if you like, I can take a look at your bike before we go. Pm me and I can arrange to meet you at the town center one day to check it out. If not, you can just take it to Bikewerx for a tune up. It's really affordable for the amount of work that they do.

Sorry, don't think I can play with my finger looking this way.

I am down for it depending on what day. If it's the 23rd to the 25th I won't be here.
Ukulele Festival...

Sorry to take this off-topic but Tanega, do you know who the "headliner" performers will be this year?
Sorry right now i cannot disclose that just yet...but lets just say it is going to be epic this year!
Man, you guys have no idea how badly I'd like to go with you guys. I rode that path MANY times while I was there. I finally made it up here to North Dakota. It was 32 degrees when I got up this morning. THIS SUCKS!!!

Miss all you guys. Hopefully I'll see you all again this December. Even with Kat putting off her graduation stuff another semester, I still have to come out for the marathon.

Aloha folks!!!
where is everybody?
Sorry Guys don't think we'll be able to make this one also... lots going on lately with work and others so will need to catch up with everyone later. Hope all is well with everyone. Have fun!

Shoots, Nalu
Aloha Folks,

My standing commitment on the weekends will continue on for quite a while longer, so it looks iffy for me. With the group I'm in, as long as everyone's schedules mesh, we're on and I won't have much time to do anything else.

I'll keep checking back periodically to see if you guys settle on a date and I'll try to manage a workaround. Hope everyone is well!

If anybody is interested in making this outing happen, please post. Like I said earlier, it won't be just a bike ride. Mostly a picnic at a place that biking is good and easy. Need some kind of input here. Positive or negative.
Chime in peeps!

Hey Aching,
I am down for a nice bike ride and picnic. What date were you looking at?
I won't be here on the 23 - 25. Come on peeps!! If this sounds like something you might or would be interested in chime in so we can get an idea of the participation and see if we can get a date and get this going. Anything else to add Aching?
nothing really to add. just need some kind of input here. where are all the regulars?
i'm down for a picnic, not really a bike ride though o_O
I need a date and time before I can commit. Would love to join in on the bike ride (dont have bike though).
