For those interested in bowling, here's info for Aiea Bowl, waiting for the Leeward Bowl website (leewardbowl.com) to clear for their info...

I heard Leeward has improved, trying to compete with the renovated Aiea Bowl.

Makes me want to get out and roll a few. We haven't been to a bowling alley since we got a Wii and Brunswick Bowling. Sad, I know, too lazy to bowl.

Is leeward an older bowling alley?

I can't stand all these new Brunswick Zone type bowling alleys. They have a laminate/composite lane and you just can't get your ball to find a nice pocket. Plus you have so many kids on the lanes the oil pattern gets hosed PDQ. I prefer the old alleys with actual wood lanes. You can go to the same alley and same lane all year and depending on the temperature and humidity it seems like you're bowling on completely different lanes.

Too bad Hawaii is kinda far from Missouri or I'd so be there.

No date in mind yet, I would prefer a Friday or Saturday night but getting a lane might be tricky...

Just got some info from Leeward:

Evening open times:
Mon-Thu: after 9PM
Fri(Sat morning): Cosmic bowling 1AM to 4AM
Sun: Cosmic bowling 9PM to 2AM

So Leeward may be difficult, lady said they are slammed with leagues on the weekends

So Aiea might be better, maybe a Saturday afternoon?

Need more input on what peeps prefer...

FYI, Both places have good food and cold brews... :D

I know everyone is busy enough, tending to their lives. But if club members are actually still are interested in the club, there needs to be more effort... even if its just a simple post to say howzit IMO. Or maybe people have just moved on...
Hi Folks,

Just an update regarding my situation. I'm still in a long-term commitment to a project I've been involved with for the last 4-5 months now. My weekend days are still pretty much a wash from the late morning to late afternoon.

My group and I are beginning to see some light, but we have a ways to go, and until I finish this project and clear my schedule, I'll be a no-show for a while longer.

If any of you want to go standup paddle surfing or cycling early in the morning (and I do mean early), I'd be more than happy to oblige you...

This weekend I've been asked to help escort a few people doing the swim portion of Ironman Revisited, benefitng the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF). Things might get very interesting if that hurricane in the Eastern Pac stays on course and/or strengthens... Hope it fizzles or veers off by the weekend.
