I've noticed a very audible "click" when I depress the brake when in Park. Sounds like the click is coming from the gear box/gear shift housing.

Perhaps this is normal...or maybe I just now noticed it?

Any ideas?

sounds like the switch & stuff that prevents the car from shifting out of park w/o the brake pedal depressed.

Agreed, most auto trans vehicles do this.

You bet ?. I love music while driving, maybe it's why am noticing the clicks late

It's totally normal. That's the shift lock disengaging when you put your foot on the brake pedal. My old '02 Jetta did the same thing.
