I am looking to get a hitch set up for my element. I like how clean the OEM honda wiring is. Can I use that and use a u haul or other companies hitch?

As far as I know, the wiring and the hitch are two entire separate things, you can mix & match to your heart's content. Certainly a LOT of people use the OEM wiring with an aftermarket hitch, since the OEM hitch is only Class I.

Yes, you can mix them. Each is totally independent of the other.

more then me. im a Persimmon
