I am in and out of my car 20 to 30 times per day and the seat belt beep is killing me......

Other than buckling up before turning the key, is there a way to disable the beep??

I am sure this is not legal for safety reasons, so I have not approached a shop.

Thank you in advance.

Good approach. I like the "turn it down" method rather than killing it.

I have to ask someone smarter than me though, why Honda feels that this has to be set up like this in the first place? All the Honda's I've owned have had this annoying <beep-beep-beep-beep.....beep-beep-beep-beep....>

Today it's pretty tough to lock the keys in the Element, so why all the racket? We all know the key is in the ignition... we just put it there, is this noise really needed at all, or is this just a "way we've always done it at Honda" design?

I will tone mine down now based on Gilboy's post, gladly!
