I understand the Canadian model support DRL, and am curious if I brought my element to a Canadian dealer could they convert my US car to support DRL?

I've seen the multi-relay approach to DRL, but I'm wondering if there is a more natural approach available.

They will. But it wont be like the OEM setup.

Thats why just go with whatever works cause the dealer will charge an arm and a leg for the same job some other small shop does at half the price.

In other words...they are factory installed on vehicles destined for Canada, along with a couple of other minor changes to comply with Canadian regs.

Any attempt to change yours afterwards would be an aftermarket change, and priced accordingly, regardless of who does it...

I know some E owners, who imported used E's from the U.S. have had it done various big-box auto repair chains there. They just install a standard after-market kit.
