I appreciate Emass' reply to my first question, answering that a single DIN radio can be installed in an EX using a dash kit to fill the remaining space occupied by the stock double DIN radio.
Now, part 2. Using a portable tape player and the Aux input has been too inconvenient, so I want to replace the OEM receiver to be able to listen to books on tape as well as CDs & FM. If I understand correctly, some after-market cassette/CD receivers are compatible with the OEM amplifier, and others are not. Can anyone help me determine which ones will/will not work with the amp?
Part 2b, as an alternative, is there a way to install an external tape player with the stock radio in a way similar to using a separate CD changer with the receiver?
Thanks for the advice
