So, my son (20 months) thought it would be cool to play with Momma's CD player while she was loading up for a kayak trip. It now contains my debit card, driver's license, a Garth Brooks CD, and heaven only knows what else. And it won't eject. Ideas on how to remedy this?

Did the ATM card going in the player cause the player to eject money?

You would usually have to remove the radio, pull the heat shield off the back and you will be able to see your lost Garth brooks CD, and your license as well as your card.

Don't try to just put something in the player and pull out your stuff, you'll likely break something. In a worst case, If you don't trust yourself to pull the radio out, you can always go to Best Buy or a stereo install shop and they'll pull the stuff out for you for a small fee.

Kinda, if you're handy you shouldn't have much trouble with the stereo. It comes apart pretty nicely.

My only comment is my nephews proved peanut butter coated cds are pretty much fatal to cd players.

Taking it apart isn't too bad. Having not seen the back-side of an element's cd player, though it may be the same as the crv's, who knows. There is usually some really small phillips head screws on the metal shield surrounding it. You remove those, the sheild comes off and you'll be ale to see all your lost stuff. You may only need to remove the cards, and the Cd will probably come out when you hit eject after it's all out.

That's so funny! Kids see the parents put stuff (Cd's) in there and figure that must be where you are supposed to put stuff. How quickly they learn.--take a photo or video of the removal for an adult chuckle.
