Honda, in their infinite wisdom, puts little stickers on the side windows that talk about "immobilization" for the stereo (presumably to keep the bad guys from stealing them). A few days after I received my new E, I noticed that the one on the passenger window was damaged, which in turn caused the window to not open and close smoothly. Ergo, I need to remove it.

Unfortunately, Honda has used some glue that doesn't come off easily - I have tried Windex, 409, and rubbing alcohol. Any other ideas?

Thanks folks. I couldn't find goo gone yesterday, but I do have razor, wd 40, and assorted cleaners, so I will give it a whirl this aft.

A single edge razor blade (in a holder) will remove all but the slightest residue from glass. Work slowly.

You folks couldn't have been more right - I can't believe how effectively the razor worked. I didn't even need to clean the glass afterwards the residue was so effectively removed (though I did anyway).

Problem only kind of solved

ok, I cleaned off the sticker. The problem that lead to that, however, isn't really solved - when I roll down the passenger side window, the rubber strip on the inside "grabs" on the window. Just a bit at first, but as the window goes down further, more of it grabs, and the strip ends up folding down upon itself, basically inside-out. The force is enough to bend the whole door panel, which clearly isn't a good thing long term.

I suspect that the rubber strip might have glue from the sticker I removed on it which is what starts the "grab", but I looked at it, and it seems to be felt inside, so it isn't clear to me how to clean that.

Thoughts? Just take it to the dealer and have them replace the strip on guarantee? Try to clean it somehow?

A few days after I received my new E, I noticed that the sticker on the passenger window was damaged and some of the sticker's glue was smeared up the window (smeared after repeated opening and closing), which in turn caused the window to not open and close smoothly (see below for details). So, I removed the sticker.

The problem, it turns out however, isn't really solved - when I roll down the passenger side window, the rubber strip on the inside "grabs" on the window. Just a bit at first, but as the window goes down further, more of it grabs, and the strip ends up folding down upon itself, basically inside-out. Resolution for next person to run into this: Took it to the dealer. They tried adjusting and lubricating to no benefit. In the end, they declared the "door panel seal" and "window seal" to be "deformed" and replaced them under warrantee.
