Hi Everyone:

I have an 2005 element with approx 80,900 miles on it. Occasionally last year when excelerating or releasing the break I would hear a single click type of sound which appears to be coming from under the glove box where the fuses and wires are, etc. It stoped for about 3 months, but is now back. Again it only does it about 2 to 3 days. Does anyone have any idea what this might be? I did bring it to the dealer and the service advisor took it for a drive with me and said it could be flexing, but was hard to tell. I'm no even sure what that means. He did say it was no concern, but is annoying. Perhaps I should just turn the radio on louder and forget about it. Any suggetions?

Does it happen when you hit the gas only? I had that issue with another car and was told it was a spark knock. I was told it was because I was using a lower grade fuel than what it needed/wanted. But then the E manual says 87 octane.... :|
