I have thoroughly enjoyed my 19X8" SSR's on my 245X45X19" Yokohama S.4's. But my friends like Burn619 and EMELENT keep promoting 20" DPE's to me. Well, I finally decided to make the switch when my friend Glen (g$$) decided to sell his. They were aluminum with black centers, but I had a vision as to what I thought I could turn them into!

So, I bought them from Glen and took them to a custom wheel re-finisher and had them "STRIPPED", "TRUED", and "TRIPLE CHROME PLATED" to get them exactly where I thought they would look "RIGHT" on "DARTH RAIDER!!!" I also really have to thank NOSkweezePSI for welcoming me into the DPE family!!!

This is how they turned out...chromed 20X9.5" DPE GT-10's on brand new 245X40X 20" Toyo Proxes 4's, and I hope you like them.

Of course being kept abreast of your mods and changes before you execute them, and giving you your propers in our phone conversations and emails back and forth, let me make one of my rare public appearances on the forum and say it always looks nice Chief! You always put that attention to detail in all that you do. I recall you talking about this transition and how you would make it happen if things lined up right and they did. I'm still hoping to see Darth Raider in a pictorial with all the updates you recently done and of course the hardware lined up to show how your efforts have paid off. Now that Precious is gone I'll be using all that you showed me in the creation of "Too Precious".

Keep up the good work and as we say "It's a work in progress" and I can't imagine what you have up your sleeve next.

Take care, peace and last one out hit the light switch cause I've left the room already.

PURE SEX
PROPS TO U SIR
what r u dropped on?
offset of wheels?
and some pics of how much wheels stick out

please
I'm currently running Tein "Heavy Duty" Basic Coil Overs, on 400lb. springs, so I can definitely carry some weight in the rear. Plus the rear fenders were professionally cut-out by Auto Fashion in San Diego. DPE (Dynamic Performance Engineering) wheels off-sets are custom set per the vehicle they are ordered for, that's why I can run 20X9.5" and not stick way outside the fender. I'm guessing that they have to be somewhere in the 40mm range?

will 19x8.5 5x114.3 ET22 give the same stance?
wheel sticking out wise

I think if you're running a 19X8.5" with a 40mm off-set and 245X45X19" tires, it should give you the same type of stance.

Chief

This should give you an excellent idea of the wheel fitment in reference to the fenders...

Looking good, Great design choice!!! The only thing I am not digging is the streched tires, I am very anal when it comes to matching tire width to the width of a wheel for performance/handling/ride. I guess working on cars meant to go fast and look good doing it and $100k plus per build will do it to you, it sure did to me.

Hello Chief,

FABULOUS!!!!!

Those wheels look super extra cool.

I do like the 'spindly', light look!!!!

(Now you gotta up-size the brake disks to slow the machine down AND to improve the 'behind the wheel' look... The job is never quite done.)

Awesome work Chief! The width couldn't be more perfect!
But you know I think you should go lower, that wheel gap still bothers me.
But that's just me, if it's not scraping the ground it's not low enough
