Deer on highway=dream come true!

Hi All-
I have looked longingly at Elements for years but had a perfectly good, paid off VW bug that I loved, so I just continued to look but not touch the E... well a few months ago a deer stepped in front of my bug while I was doing 80 on I-70. My poor bug went splat but yesterday I got to buy my dream E (OK, I really wanted 4 wheel drive but Kansas seems to be VERY limited in Element choices in my price range)
Anyway, I haven't stopped smiling, and I wanted to thank everyone for all the unknowing help you supplied me with. These forums were such an AMAZING help during my search. I knew more about the Element then the car salesman, and while I was crawling all over it, moving seats this way and that and showing him the coin drawer and telling him this tidbit and that, he asked if he could call me next time he had one so I could do a demo for the potential customers :D
It's the perfect car for my lifestyle and my dog (Great Dane).... and someday I will let my poor husband drive it!

We want to see pictures of the Element and the dog (the great dane, not the husband)
Welcome to the asylum, your color-matched strait jacket will be ready shortly. Don't mind the other inmates, they can tend to nip and growl on occasion but rest assured they're all up to date on their shots. Now drink deeply of the complimentary Kool-Aid until all memories of your pre-Element life are but a foggy dream :D

Twi, do you have your welcome line saved on your computer so you can just copy/paste it whenever there is a new member here???:lol::lol:

Welcome to the cult by the way.:D

Sorry about the bug...

congrats on the E. I love my E as much as Mr Zorak loves his vw bug! although i definitely use and abuse the E more (the bug gets pampered) but the E can take it!
Hi All-

not a very high standard.
but it looks like you sailed over it w/ ease.

welcome to the Club!

Welcome to the EOC.

Those damn deer, sometimes they're amazing, sometimes they suck. :(

A deer took my Element from me for a while. I'll reclaim him later this month. I'll forgive Deerkind because they put someone new in an Element. :)
Congrats on your new E, do you have any photos? I too just got one last week, an '03 silver 5 speed.

What the heck the red X with a skull picture for on everyone's sig?

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! i had the best first weekend with my E... on Friday I took my husband and his big ole' bass rig to a gig and then on Saturday I hauled around some muddy trail runners and then on Sunday took the dog to the dark park, where he proceeded to get muddy. It was so great to fit everything in and not worry about mud!! I'm so freaking happy!! I'm just sorry I didn't take any pictures... I'll have to clean her up before I get out the camera.

Zorak- Someday I hope to have a bug again also.. I cried when they took it away. But the E soon dried my tears! Glad to hear that there is a family out there with a bubble and a box!

Kdean- I'm so very sorry to hear about your vehicular deer encounter... I've been yelling at all the deer I see to "stay the hell away from this one!" I hope you get yours back soon!

Twi- I apologize but the ladder story made me laugh, only because that is something that I would do... I pretty much did that to my front window at my house.

Here is a crappy cell phone shot of Otis loving having reclining seats.

And it gets even better. Welcome from lower Alabama (NW Fl.) It sounds like you'll fit in here just fine. Another "E" saved by proper loving, caring people. :D

We're not laughing at you, Twi, we're laughing with you. :D Did you pick up the fixer-upper yet?

DollE your Photo did not take.

As for Twi, I call him harmless, but it just aint so. HE throws more punches than he takes!

Glad you found this sight as useful, as many of us have.

Oh you will get ridden until the Photo's are up.
