Did the element ever come with clear glass instead of privacy glass?
Thanks in advance

not sure, but when I replaced my hatch window, my glass guy asked me if I wanted smoked or clear..... so maybe aftermarket?

I wish Honda would have made the glass clear and given customers the choice to tint or not.

i would like to see how they would look without the rear tinted. I had a civic prior to the e and preferred to have clear windows over tinted. It looks cleaner.

Considering the size of the aperture in relation to the size of the glass on the rear windows if they were clear you would see a lot of sheet metal and plastic from the outside that would look pretty crappy. In order to look decent the clear windows would still require a large tinted border to cover up the bezel area.

Yep, and with all that glass it would get real hot inside without some tinting.

To my knowledge, no Elements are made with clear glass from the rear doors back. As part of the niche vehicle design (you can change clothes in it! you can sleep in it!) it was incorporated from the beginning as much as the vinyl floorboard and fold up rear seats.
