2004 Honda Element EX AWD

Recently the rear left amber turn signal started staying on. It would be on sometimes, off others.
This would interfere with the turn signal flashing correctly.
Today while sitting still with just the running light on and foot on the brake, that same rear left light started smoking. I pulled the light off and the smoke appeared to be coming from below the light assembly behind the rear quarter panel that wraps around the back of the car. I could not see anything visibly. So it may be coming from under neath as well. It def was not the tail light itself.
To test this, I turned on the lights...nothing. After applying the brake, then it started again.
At this time none of the lights are working. Only the headlights. No running lights, turn signals, etc.
I pulled all the fuses and they look fine.
Solutions?

Welcome and without being there with my electrical tools it would be hard to say what it wrong but it sounds like you have a short between the brake and turn wires. I would advise you to go to ether Honda or a automotive electrical repair shop. Do you have a trailer wiring harness in the E?
