Okay, so maybe the Element didn't do so well in the side-impact tests (minus side airbags), but take a look at this story about an Element hitting a Cadillac head on. Pay special attention to which car had more significant injuries. And, interestingly enough the writeup says nothing about the Element driver needing treatment.

Gee the Houston paper doesn't even bother to even note any accidents unless someone was killed (and it usually has to involve a child or teenager, a whole family, elderly bad driver or a policeman at that).

That must have been some coughing fit though!

Oh dear. Hate to hear about car crashes like that.

Several years back I had an allergy attack so bad. I was sniffling and sneezing to beat the band. I had to get somewhere or otherwise I would have been at home, zonked out on Benadryl.

You know where this is going - after about 15 achooooos! in a row, my poor head didn't even feel like it was attached to my body and I was nearly nonfunctional. I failed to see a driver stopped in front of me and crashed into the rear of his car.

Worse? The poor man was driving a rental car because a garbage truck had backed over his car just that week, while he was in it and trapped at the end of an alley with nowhere to go. He narrowly escaped death.

The guy went to my husbands' church. I felt just terrible about it. He was very gracious and understood that the sniffles really were at fault.
