I started to install my amp yesterday, finished today "yeah". To make a long story short, for some reason my Eclipse stereo would not for some reason accept my "key CD" and I exhausted all 10 attempts and now it says to call 1800#. I tried to call Eclipse and the the stereo place and no one in till Monday. Will I have to send this thing in or will I be able to prove it's "me" over the phone and they will give me a crack code?

I don't understand why it would not accept my "key disc", maybe there is something wrong with the unit.

Huh. Dunno why it's doing that. I would contact your car stereo shop tomorrow - they should either fix it or swap out your head unit on the spot.

I will call Eclipse tomorrow and if they tell me I have to send the unit in, I will then call the Stereo place and tell them whats going on. It's not cool when you have to worry if your stereo will work when you have to dissconnect the - bat terminal lol.

I've had two ESN decks, never had problems with the ESN when installing/removing, but I did have to send each one in for warranty work, it took about two weeks to get it back. I do like the ESN feature and have not had one stolen, don't live in the bad area of town though.

Well the good news is if you get locked out of your ESN deck, you don't have to send it in. Help is just a phone call away and they give you the code to unlock it with the proper verification that it belongs to you of course. They told me to try to use the key CD again and if the problem persists thed to send it in for repair. My dealer won't do anything for me now because I sent in the card already.
