I've just completed my first road trip with my 09 E. The whole trip amounted to about 1600 miles round trip and covered a fairly wide variety of highways and back roads. I checked the mileage on one full tank on the trip down, and one on the way home and each time got just over 25 mpg. Considering its lack of aerodynamics, and the load I was carrying, I was quite pleased with that number. Both of those tanks covered very average geography....that is to say not being driven thru the mountains. I'm sure my fuel economy was less during those miles, however, even in hilly areas; the E performed very well and had all the power I asked for. All things considered, I couldn't have been more pleased! :-D
The only bad experience I have to report was taking a rock in the middle of the windshield about a half inch from the bottom. It didn't appear to be more than a small chip, but it soon began to "run" and ended up about 14 inches long.....anyone have experience with replacing a windshield? Not that I'm going to DIY, just a recommendation on a good place to have it done...dealer, or other windshield specialist?

Follow up to the windshield issue. Safelite Auto Glass quoted a replacement price of $225.00 plus tax. I actually expected worse. I haven't gotten a price from my dealership, but I wonder if there's any benefit to having them replace the windshield? I'm not a huge fan of Honda glass....based on my experience with two different Honda vehicles, it seems to chip rather easily. Anyone have any thoughts on that?
