so as the title said i resently bought a zex wet kit. I also bought a bottle heater, remote opener, window switch. I will be installing this kit this weekend. I will be running a 75 wet shot on my 08 sc auto. i will post a how to and what not should also have a dyno pull with the numbers.

before people say n2o is for idiots. I have been running n2o on almost every vehicle i own with zero problems. I always tune for n2o. I always run wet kits with window switches.

my car currently has injen intake and exhaust. i also have a modified obx header off of a tsx with a 2.5 in down pipe. I will have pics up soon so you can see, i have a few more suprizes i wanna get out of the way then i will post some pics. I just recently registered to this forum, but have been on honda-tech for years, the suv forum just doesn't move like this one.

kinda related but my wife drives an 08 vw r32 with a 100 shot wet and she pulled the personal best time of 13.4 last night and that is completely stock other then the wet kit with window switch.

thanks for reading i will keep you posted. And I look forward to contributing lots of info and help when needed if you guys will have me lol

What's the point? I could see if you were drag racing a "Race Car" and you wanted to make it faster with some cheap horsepower. The Element is not fast, light or remotely aerodynamic. I see that money spent better other places.

You typing could have been spent better somewhere else too.

I have a Zex kit that I got for my Integra that I have thought about putting on my E just for the heck of it.
I'm interested seeing pics too.

If it is you and i'm pretty sure it is, you said in the h-t thread that you installed a JRSC in your element, but you didn't say anything about it in this thread. Did i just ruin your surprise? lol

I drag raced for years in cars suited for racing. Let's say the average stock Element does 18 seconds in the 1/4 mile. 100 shot of nitrous installed right and with one step colder copper plugs. Now you will do 17 seconds in the 1/4 mile. That's a nice improvement but still slow and in the long run your engine WILL be toast.

I didn't say it's worse than forced induction ........... but it is. ;-)

Even all of the Turbo guys on here got rid of their Turbos because of all of the issues that come with modifying a non-turbo car.

Nitrous is for drag racing purposes , that's all. The Element is not suited for drag racing..... duh. A smaller, lighter car would be a good start.... hell anything is more aerodynamic smaller and lighter. I drag raced for 10 years nearly every week. I've autocrossed for years and even road raced at Sebring a few times. Every racer that I ever came across that used nitrous ruined their car sooner rather than later. The professsional racers even rebuilt their engines every other race. If you have a second beater car go for it. Have fun. If this is your only transportation it's just not smart.

I dont even know why you read these threads and comment on then because almost all of them i have seen you post on are all negative. you say you did all those things but we cant know for sure you might be blowing smoke.

the element isnt aerodynamic but if they want to have fun with it and do something no one else has then i say do it. at least he picked a good system Zex is one of the best if no the best. And as for the turbo elements they dont get rid of them because they are unreliable or going to break. roller toaster sold his because he wanted a different car. the dealer bought it if it wasn't reliable they most likely would not have. Hellement only selling his because his shop went under, and eyecarvether4iam had his engine fail but it was not tuned very well the first time, but now has that fixed with his awesome build

you should just leave this thread alone.

I could also put nitrous on a garbage truck but it would be dumb also.
hey if you have the money and you got a garbage truck then hell you can but a nos kit on it. It would be cool to see a garbage truck with nos. would get some crazy views on YouTube.

Actually, if you read the rollertoaster "goodbye" thread... he had several issues with forced induction... well more the power generated... Motor mounts and such cracking and a handful of other issues related to "doubling if not Trippling the stock HP".

That being said... turbo elements are sweet!

If youre only going to instal a Nitro system on there... i would be interested to see what sort of gains you see.
