You may have to have military experience to know what that means. I will be picking up my new 2010 PMM 4WD EX tomorrow. I ride motorcycles and bicycles and we have dogs. I am usually the one of us (wife and I) that drives the family hauler. I have been driving used Subaru wagons for 10 years. I have a 100 mile per day commute so I have been through 4 of them.(somebody hit one of them a totaled it in first year) I decided to try something different. If you want a smallish 4WD vehicle that gets reasonable gas mileage that you can actually put stuff in, the field is rather small. I think the Element is cute in a bulldog'ish sort of way and as a Honda it should stand up to my rate of putting miles on without much trouble. I traded my old Subie wagon and my 2000 Z-3 that I was hardly driving (my Honda VFR800 is way more fun on a sunny day) and got my payment down to what a used one would have cost. I was planning on buying a used one but the resale value is so high that a new one is a better bargain. I sure hope I am not disappointed. It looks to be an ideal commuter/hauler that isn't a carbon copy of every other inflated wagon looking crossover out there. The used car guy I was talking to the other day was trying to get me to consider a Murano. I drove by one this morning. Just how exactly was I supposed to get my road bike in that ugly thing without disassembling it?
