i found a local set of ex-p take off wheels and tires with less than 50 miles use, For a steal :D $200.00. Well i plan to buy them for my 06 ex-p and remove curent set as the tires need replaced anyway. Now for my question. I would like to use the extra ex-p aloys on my new 08 civic lx. Will they fit with my current 205 55 16 tires on the civic. I dont quet understand wheel and tire sizing. I know 16" is 16" wheel but what about the width? is the stock steel wheel narower than the ex-p aloy?. I really want aloys on my civic too.

Thanks

There are a few parameters that we need to know to fully answer your question.

What is the stock tire size on the civic?
What is the stock rim size on the civic (width)?
What is the stock offset on the civic rim?

Once you have this information, we can compare it to the stock E data, and give you an almost intelligent answer!! :D
My guess is that they will work. The Elements wheels are 7" wide. 205 tires will work on a 7" wheel fine. The offset is the question, but it will probably work. The stock civic wheels are probably narrower, but it won't cause a problem. When it comes time to, I'd replace the civic tires w/ a 215/50 instead, but they should work fine.

1. Stock civic tire size curantly on steel rims is 205-55-16
2 Civic rim width im unsure of at this point! i need to research
3 Stock of set of steel civic rim? I need to research.

My next new concern is what do i do with the tps sensors on the 08 civic? if i just use the elemnt rims as is the anoying tps light will be on all the time. The ex-p rims dont have the tps on them.

is the 215-50-16 little taller and wider than the stock 205 -55-16 ?

Thanks

The 2nd number is the % of the width. A 215-50 tire has a height of 50% of 215 (=107.5mm). The 205-55 tire has a height of 112.75mm. That is about .2 inches. You should be okay.
Doesn't the civic have a 4 bolt pattern? I didn't think our rims would fit on a civic.

Newer civics have 5 bolt lugs.

1. curent stock tires 205-55-16
2.stock civic steel rims 16x6.5
3 elment ex p wheels 16x6.5
4 5 lug pattern 114.3 / same as element
