Just as I'm slowing down, creeping to a stop, i hear a noise from the front brakes (not sure which side) I can feel it through the petal (subtly).

It is not a squeal, nor a rough grind.. more like a grinding squeal (not a flat solid sound). My imagination of the sound is as if there were a tiny rock inbetween the brake and brake pad that was rolling around. (not really possible but that's what i picture when i hear it!)

Any thoughts?
They are new brake pads from the dealer.

If you just had the brakes serviced at a dealer, why not ask them to diagnose the noise?

they tested the brakes, said to not worry about. i don't trust them. looking for second opinions. Bought it from a 'jeep/chrysler' dealership from a trade in someone else did.

I take it you didn't test drive it and listen for noises....As for Chrysler dealers, I don't trust them or their products...........Too many people I know drive them and I have heard and seen many bad things.....IMO they sell junk

i did test it. i'm one of the lucky few with 'tempermental' noises that come and go.
