I'm a new (used) E owner! 07 EX 4WD 65k mi: Pardon the lack of proper terminology. The stop notches in the mechanism that keeps the driver side door open at varying degrees seems to be worn to the point where the door no longer stays put at those increments and is just swinging free. Is anyone familiar with this and is there a simple (or not so simple) fix? Thanks!

You may want to try squirting some WD-40 into the unit. If you don't lube the unit periodically, the springs that press the rollers against the door check bar get gummed up and the rollers stop pinching tightly enough.
