For all the Droid users out there, there is an app you can download called Mileage.

The app allows you input the amount of fuel you buy, the odometer reading, etc.

My wife just drove across country and texted me all her fill ups. It's nice to see what kind of MPG I am getting...

Im sure iPhone users have a similar product :)

Fuelly.com has a nice web interface. I need to re-bookmark it on my phone... It's a web app, so you can use it with any web enabled device.

I use one for my iPod touch (also iPhone) that I really like and there's a chance it is for the Droid as well.

It's "sponsored" by Fram Filters and is called Gas Cubby. Because it's sponsored by Fram is the reason I would think there may be one for the droid as well. Their ad is only at the bottom of the app and is not very noticeable but there is a paid ad-free version.

It automatically tracks your mpg, service reminders, and tells you

cost/day
cost/mile
# of fill-ups
max mpg
min mpg
avg mpg
total costs
miles/day

and a ton of other things.

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but wanted to share my experience, too! :)

Wish I had a fancy smart phone but I just use my over-sized industrial strength non-mobile laptop...! LOL...!
