Hello, I have a 2011 Element. There is a vent cap on top of the fuel tank that has been damaged by a rodent. I have dropped the tank (empty) about 6" but still do not have a good enough view to apply a fix. Has anyone dropped their tank and what connections need to be taken apart? I have many tools so can handle special operations. I appreciate your help before starting to pull things apart.

But not a service manual? You know there's an access panel in the floor, yes?

Maybe this will help a bit:

Yes, I know about the access panel. It is no where close enough to the vent module, shown as the furthest module to the rear of the tank. I dropped the tank yesterday enough to get to the module and covered the damaged area with epoxy. I then reset the check engine light and will see what happens in the next 100 miles. I am not sure if the vent holds a pressure or vacuum in the tank but hopefully the epoxy will seal it.
The module itself is not available and to replace it requires a new tank, which, of course is a ripoff. Thank you for the diagram.
