Yep, my fellow HEOCers, Kat said that she'll keep me.

No date yet, but I think we want to do something out on the island instead of here. I kind of brought up the idea of a Christmas wedding this year after I go back out there to do the 2010 marathon. If she signs off on it, we can make that the official monthly meet for the month of December. I'll be sure to keep you guys posted.

Oooops! I feel bad I never updated you guys.
We got hitched on the 7th of March. Just a few days before I shipped out to this craptastic country of nothingness and Osama Bin Laden.

Sorry we didn't go all out like Mike and Sandy, but we were on a serious budget for this thing (less than $1,000 :grin: ), and it was really really short notice.

Been kind of a ****ty married life so far. 99% of it we've spent apart. Thanks a lot big daddy Air Force. :x

well as I sat at my step sons wedding rehersal (ever notice the herse in rehersal kinda like a wedding and a funural are the end of all life as we know it)oops back to the story,When it was time for the I do's I shouted RUN FOREST RUN!!!.For some reason that did not seem to go over to well with a few.but now a few years later, what do you know, he should of taken my advice (witch is what it was as moma was convinced this was the wright girl for him,I said she wasnt don't do it, so that was the last word on the subject) I hope your forest is green for the rest of your lives & you get to fill it with a bunch of varmets & critters (kids) and a pet or two. a forest dosent need fertilizer just rain,so shower togeather every day. 8) congrats

Should we remind you that he's currently deployed overseas....
and the ones he's showering with, are not by his choice (I'm just guessing here...:lol

I spent 7 WONDERFUL years with the Special Service Force....so, basically NOT at home.....
missed the kids growing up, every birthday, anniversary, holiday...managed to get home for short periods, usually a couple of weeks at a time, a month if I was lucky....but never when I wanted...
Homecomings were GREAT, leaving again, not so much :|

That would be the one. Although I'm debating on breaking my 3 year streak and going out to Greece in October with the Wife to run the Athens classic marathon ad do the whole honeymoon thing while we're out there.

That was my first marathon in December `97. Adjusting to the temperature was a bit tough as it was below zero when we left Alaska. It is a well run race and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I did my first in '07. This last one sucked because I did pretty much what you did. trained in the North Dakota winter and went over.

Was never an issue when I was actually stationed out there. :grin:
