Well it seems two of my nieces are interning this Summer for the Vermont NPS. They are working in Marsh-Billings-Rockafeller Park. http://www.nps.gov/mabi/ They invited us up there for the 4th weekend. :D:D

So it looks like my Wife , my Son, and I will be packing up the E and heading to Vermont in a few weeks.

Anyone have a ny personal experience with Marsh-Billings-Rockafeller Park?

Any advice, tips etc about the park and/or the town next to the Park (Woodstock, VT) would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm from the Rutland area in VT, about 40 minutes east of Woodstock on route 4.

I'd highly recommend you check out Quechee Gorge, it's only a few miles west of Woodstock on route 4. The state park right there is a great place to camp too.

Woodstock itself is very pretty, and is very old. There's a lot of stuck up rich people living there, but it's got some good (although a bit pricey) shopping along the main drag.

Also, the speed limit is 20 / 25 through most of the town, and the local cops LOVE to nab out of staters, so watch your speed :)
