I'm interested in buying a Honda Element, and was wondering if anyone in Nova Scotia has a good dealer to recommend. Did you have a good experience with that dealer when buying an Element? Any information would be great. Thanks!

I bought mine at Kings Honda in Kentville, and have had a pretty good time dealing with them. Unlike Colonial Honda, the Kings folks seem to actually want to do something for you. We hadn't bothered with Portland St., but I know other folks that have bought Hondas from there and were happy. Colonial I wouldn't recommend though.

20+ years ago Mrs. IRV and IRV got married in Bangor, Maine. (Mrs. IRV's family is from up that way). On our honeymoon we borrowed her brother's 1976 gold Cadillac and took the ferry from Bar Harbor to Yarmouth, NS. Drove up to Digby (GREAT SCALLOPS!!) and took the ferry over to St. Johns. Two impressions: Really nice people any where we went and when you folks say "storm doors" you mean storm doors! It looked like most houses had two real doors back to back to get in the house! Well, that's a really old impression, but something I still remember. Great part of the world.

My fathe rin law is the sales manager at Southwest Honda in Yarmouth. Great dealership, and always willing to go the extra mile. We got our 06 Kiwi Green Y package through them for $250 over dealer cost! :)

Colonial Honda ...

I would think twice before scratching Colonial Honda off the list. I have bought 2 Civic's there and though I bought my 03 Element at Bridgewater Honda (nice sales girl ... impossible financing guy) I take all my Honda's there religiousgly with tremendous satisfaction. I am always treated with kindness and respect and they make you feel like your business means something to them. We now live on the Dartmouth side of the bridge and I would not consider switching for the world. I won't knock Portland street too much but the couple of quick dealings I did have were less than desirable.

portland street honda is very good--great service, no pressure sales. they went the extra mile --free seminar for first time owner--free honda stuff-- mail reminders for check-ups etc kings county honda in kentville are good as well--but not so hands on--good if you just want your car without the relationship fluff. i have bought cars from both.
