Picked up my SOP EX last night and have already been asked "wow... that's cool, what is it?" by a total stranger Tooled around downtown with it last night... looks sharp under city lights! Dealer gave me a really sweet deal on the lease with warranty and extended coverage for 60,000 mi. So far it's smooth sailing... did notice a little thumping noise when I turn, but I suspect that's nothing to worry about. Only other thing I could complain about is a little warp in the plastic over the odometer... makes the middle digit look weird. But it's got all those beautiful zeroes on it!

It's great! I love the way it changes with the light... mellow in the morning, bold as a pumpkin at noon, and deep rusty red at night.

When I parked the E in my driveway, the panic alarm on my old car went off -- I suspect my keys bumped the button in my pocket, but maybe she was just jealous of her replacement...

Hehe... nah. My only immediate plans are to hit Targét for some rubber floor mats, a trashcan, and some shelf-liner to keep things from sliding all over the floor.

How long of a lease did you sign up for that you would need a 60,000 mile extended warranty?

I took a 4-year lease with 15,000 mi per year. So the warranty covers 1 extra year, plus I got the lease protection plan which gives me $5000 worth of damage and mileage-over coverage as well. The extension only raised my payments by about $15 a month, and I figure it only takes one major repair to make it worth the money. Particularly on a brand new model it seems to make sense.

Congrats on the new buggy. Notice your plate says you're a musician, what's your ax? I got a complete 5-piece kit, with congas and extra percussion into the back end with no difficulty.

Well, I got a 4-year lease, 15,000 mi per year. Extended warranty to cover the entire lease period, with the $5000 Lease Coverage as well. Put down $1500 and ended up with a payment just under $300. Not too shabby.
