Hey all: I am a proud owner of a 2004 black Element (hence its name: Carbon). My first Honda was way back in 1975 - a CVCC two-door hatchback (anyone remember those?). Shortly after I got Carbon, my sister got a silver one (its name is Zinc). Now we have a small periodic table of elements.

Welcome to the EOC!!!
Welcome...and yes, remember those little 70's Honda-mobiles well!

I like the namenclature what with the "element" moniker to go with it. My silver one goes by "The Beast"...it always looks like it's ready to do or try anything regardless of its size.
Welcome.... and I do remember those 70s Civics with the little hatch that opened under the back glass.... and top speed of about 60 mph.
Welcome to the EOC from NC!

Welcome.... and I do remember those 70s Civics with the little hatch that opened under the back glass.... and top speed of about 60 mph.
Not so! In 1979, north on US89 outside of Flagstaff, little H topped 95 (it was downhill of course). Right then the speedometer cable snapped.
Ahhh... The CVCCs... *sigh*

I remember Uncle Bernie's Civic (right-hand drive no less...! Direct from Japan in the Queen's Commonwealth of Bermuda...) One of my first experiences with manual/"stick" driving and my first brush with the law... Ha! We outwitted the Bah-be-lons (sp?=old/trans: BDA police) on some of the side streets and parked behind some bushes and made it to the pub... Wow... Now, THOSE were the days...!

Oh, and welcome from CA and congrats on the new rig...!
