I just returned from a two week vacation in my Element. I drove from Hamilton to Calgary taking 4 nice easy days to get there.

Had a lot of fun talking about the Element at the Gas stops. The hotel in Calgary had the contingent from the Snow Boarders staying there as well so there were four AWD-SOP's with Ontario plates sitting in the parking lot. I tried to find the drivers but didn't have any luck.

Attended my daughters Graduation from U of C. Took a day trip to Lake Louise and Banff and then back throught the Kanaskis. A great great day.

Spent several days in Calgary visiting then headed back to Ontario with a day stopover at a friends place in Winnipeg and then off to her cottage on Lake Winnipeg. If you have never been to Lake winnipeg then plan a trip. It is beautiful.

Took my sweet time coming back through Ontario. On my last day I too the Ferry from Baymouth on Manitoulin Island to Tobermory.

The weather was perfect the entird time.

I never tired driving the Element and it drove great. The only problem I encountered was a door gasket on the drivers side that wore a hole in it. Sterling Honda have ordered a replacement and will be monitoring it for both Honda and myself.

Since I picked up my "E" on March 31st I've logged 17500 km. No complaints. I love it.

Gas mileage averaged 10.71/100 km. I am disappointed with this considering I kept the cruise set at the posted speed all the way. But there are a lot of large hills going over the top of Lake Superior.

Next year I'll be taking the same trip....this time for my daughters wedding. She see that the Element has lots of room for the Bride, her Brides Maids etc.....I've offered a Limo for that day....Wedding or not...they don't get the Element...LOL.

Pictures soon.

WOW! You ROCK! That is some serious milage. Sounds like a blast. I hope to be able to take a nice long road trip some time in the next couple of years but at the moment I'm grounded. I would love to drive out to the east coast and take the "E" along the Cabot trail. I did that with my Civic a number of years ago. Now that is a kick a** road trip. If there is anyone out there that has not done the Cabot trail, I highly recommend it. Those of you who have done it know what i'm talking about...... An ocean view through winding mountainous roads for an entire day. :D

And the fresh seafood! AHhhhhhhhhh yes.

I'm hoping to get to the East Coast in the fall. A friend of mine has just opened an Inn on PEI that I'm hoping to stay at. I've driven to the east coast several times but never to PEI.

I love New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. A great place and even greater people.

The Element is the best of all worlds for any type of trip, other that say Hawaii...rent one there.

Did the Cabot trail a number of years ago. But as one of my uncles referred to it - it was a busman's holiday. Which translates to 5 to 6 hours of driving every day for a week. One of the fun things was not knowing what I would end up doing each day - just sort of went with a minimum of plans - I knew I wanted to see Luxembourg and Grosse Ile, the rest was whatever came up along the way. Definiteky something tht was worth doing. My only regret was not having the time to come back along the Gaspe.
