Last night I think that the intensity of my headlights (high beams) was fluctuating. Periodically they seemed dimmer, and then they'd go back to normal intensity. Has anyone else noticed this? I don't think that they've always done it.

Any ideas on what could be causing it? I didn't notice it with the low beams, just the high beams.

Thanks,
Kristi

I notice that my headlights get a bit dim at idle, but brighten up as soon as I rev it up.

the lights will dim for a second when the A/C compressor kicks in.

Thanks, Shen, that might be it. It definitely wasn't at low idle, as it happened on the interstate and other times when I was moving right along. And I was using the AC. The only thing that bothers me is that I hadn't noticed it before.

the same problem...steady speed driving, no air on. I was gonna say dim but your description is better, fluctuate. It doesn't matter if I have all, some or none of the accesories. And it's intermittent so until something goes, it's tough for the dealer to check.

It's not a belt, I checked. My guess would a voltage regulator or loose ground.
