I am new to the board and yesterday my husband and I put a deposit on Shoreline 2WD EX Element, 5 speed, :D The price we are paying is 19,100 plus taxes , what do you guys think??? We are planning to put some options, like side steps, roof racks and mud flaps but probably we will buy them from Handa and have my husband install them....do you guys have any other suggestion??Thanks

Good deal and great idea with acc'ys. I got a 5spd EX also and absolutely love it. Good luck and keep in touch with our forum.

Exactly what we bought and exactly what we paid for ours. We said we didn't want the under coating, dealer said they always put it on, but it would be free, and it was. We did have to split transport cost from north of Dallas to Houston as our dealer traded with another to get what we wanted.

I paid $22K for a SOP 2WD EX with:

side steps
rear spoiler
mud flaps
cargo tray
stabilizer bar
roof rack
fog lights
extended warrenty

(I wanted that one, and really only wanted to pay 20k - 21k without all that other stuff, the dealer had it pushed to 27k, I told them to take the stuff off. The dealer said as is? without the special pricey wheels he put on it)

I don't think I got a real good deal, but I'm happy and love my E.

 Kinda' ignorant myself on this one. It was a dealer install, he mentioned it a couple of times and it was listed on the pricing sheet. They threw it in. I'll give the dealer a call for more details.

(Although my Element handles better than my Civic did in high winds)

Yes please advise me on this ...I know there are aftermarket "things" that make the vehicle more stable and the handling tighter , but are these really necessary for a non off road / non racer person ???

Thanks

the Element has factory front and back stabilizer bars, and in a couple reviews they were descibed as heavier than the equivalent items in the CRV, so why would the dealer need to add them?
