Here in Portland, Oregon, we notice that Car Talk has been in reruns since late June. Is this the case everywhere, or is something up locally? Calls to the station have not yielded unambiguous answers. Car Talk is a necessary part of our automotive experience, so we may have to move if our worst fears are realized.

Ah the frick and frack brothers handing out common sense answers to people who don't know the difference between the gas pedal and the brake pedal, this, combined with their "Harvard" pedigree does make for amusing radio.

I suggest moving to Detroit, I hear they are playing all originals there.

Or you could allways go to www.cartalk.com

where you can find the complete list of these people...

Accounts Payable Administrator Imelda Czechs
Air-Quality Monitor Carmine Dioxide
Air Traffic Controller Ulanda U. Lucky
Airline Reservation Manager Will Price Randomly
Alaskan Prenuptial Advisor Rush Inuit
Anger Management Consultant Joanne Slowburner

Yo z'

I visit the cartalk site but notice that there is never any info as to actual show times, etc. there either. With all the problems with funding at NPR and local affiliates nothing would surprise me. I have since found that some other localities are also getting reruns. Detroit is the only one so far that apparently is broadcasting current shows.

Thanks,
