The E has finally arrived and I swapped out the rear speakers last night with the Infinity 6002s. However, I cannot get one of the grills to pop back on securely. The driver side fits flush and snug. I used the mounting plate that came with the speakers and did everything "by the book". Any ideas as to what could be protruding or causing problems on my bad side?

I had the same problem. On the interior of the grill, there's an extension piece that goes around the circumference of the speaker. It also has a bit of foam going around it. I just zipped off the bottom of that round extension with a dremel tool. Fits like a champ now.

Thx for the reply. Just to clarify - Did you remove the foam and sand down the ring with the dremel in order for it to fit?

Yep! It was the only way to get it to fit.
