i got rid of a bunch of parts today! cleaning it up, getting ready for the lowering springs. gave her a bath. its amazing what some elbow grease and some cleaning products from the auto parts store can do.

planning to weld the roof rack this week at work

97 accord front lip is on the way, and im looking far and wide for an SC spoiler.

sc sway bars, tie rod end links, and rear upper control arms next on the list.

wheels and lowering springs get here this week so this coming weekend i will be 2.5-3” lower!

got my springs! putting them on sunday. excited!

did a lil cutting on the trailer but then the cutting wheel broke. still need to cut the motorcycle channel off the top rail then grind everything fresh and clean and shes ready for framing! also going to put the axle on the underside of the leaf springs, get taller perches and longer u bolts for more ground clearance and to allow bigger wheels and tires.

front lip and new spoiler are on the way, and im still debating on tires. would like to run a similar geometry as stock considering the speedo calibration and tire gap that still exists. my element is a street machine, rarely go offroad or on trails. anyone running 15x8 0 offset wheels on their E? i scored a brand new set for super cheap ($210 shipped) and havent test fitted for clearance yet. i have 1.5” spacers but would love to not use them. now looking at tires im torn between two sizes. 245/60r15 or 235/70r15. anyone have experience with 245 and any rubbing?

also been thinking about wrapping the painted body panels in vinyl, never done anything like that before, how hard could it be?

got some more work done on the trailer! motorcycle channel is gone. its down to the frame now so its all uphill from here! gonna be a slow process lol. ordered 2 new 12” wheels with tires installed, that will allow me to find the best framing and axle height so i can draw up an actual plan and get measurements and everything mapped out. excited!

did a lil cleanup on the spare hatch in preparation for the spoiler, gutted everything i wasnt gonna use. ordered a 1st gen xb spoiler gonna cut it until its flush then mount and fiberglass it smooth. need to bend the upper corners back to normal-ish before anything. also plan to shave the lock tumbler hole and rear windshield wiper hole. real question is do i attempt to wrap the whole car in a new color or pay someone to paint color match the new hatch once im done?

removed the ditch lights and the bugflector, looking alot cleaner. next mod before wheels is to remove to amber insert from the headlights. new rear wiper arm plug, front lip, and 245/60r15 tires are in the mail! 🤞

welp, the offerup wheel sniper addiction continues! i shouldve taken a before pic, these were so dirty and covered in brake dust! posted for $150, the tires were shot. i drove an hour and a half, he was outside waiting for me. i looked em over real quick, just shrugged my shoulders and said “would you take $100?” he said yep instantly. we shook hands and they were mine. so now i have in total three sets of wheels intended for the element. oem, the 15x8 steelies, and now these 18” tsw. need to get some tires mounted asap!

front lip came in today, its only held on by zip ties in the pic, hardware is on the way, but it fits pretty good!

found these cool simple conduit clamps at work, made the roof rack come together in just a few cuts. figured welding was overkill when all i want it for is to be able to haul full sheets of plywood. i still need one more set of clamps for the last crossbar, once i find one ill paint the whole thing black.

hahahaha you are definitely correct there! i have the oem ex wheels, these new 18”, and the 15’s which still need tires. the 15’s were the original plan, so i still want to get tires mounted and decide on a setup for good.

these tsw wheels have a 20+ offset so the fitment is very good. they look a little "early 2000's need for speed underground ricer" but i dig the fitment. the main things im on the fence about are the center cap options and the chrome lips. might plasti dip them dark copper. we shall see.

test fitted the spoiler yesterday, going to the mariners game tonight, cutting and bondo shall commence tomorrow!
Very nice! That spoiler really compliments the overall look of your E! :)

Yeah I'm hoping for the Mariners to win today and tomorrow! Then they may end up playing against my team in the playoffs: The Rays! :)
