Where did you buy your bull bar and ditch light mounts at? I think your E looked good as an overlander and looks good lowered now. (y)

just scrolled through all your changes since you bought it. fun to see all the changes you've made and your reconsideration of things like the bull bar. it looks great. how did the roof rack turn out?

I bought some hardware to mount some 8ft 2x4s on my Yakima crossbars so I can transport plywood sheets. The brackets I bought have 1/4" holes in them but the bolts I bought are 3/8". Need to get some cobalt bits and then I can install them on my crossbars. Also have right angle brackets for the front of the 2x4's to keep the sheets in place. The more I think about it, I'm not thinking I could install a cut-to-size sheet of 3/4" or 1" pressure-treated plywood on those 2x4's to create a platform. I could then set up some chairs up there to enjoy the view or watch my kids' soccer games from. From there, I could drill some holes to use to tie things down if I wanted to use as a platform. Am I crazy, or could it work?

Been slowly tinkering on the element, got some neew three piece wheels from a friend really cheap, my old fog lights went out so i got new cheap amazon yellow ones, thank goodness for pnw deezy and his solutions for everything. Sourced an LS1 from a 2004 GTO and built the engine a lil, wiseco pistons, btr camshaft, arp head studs, lots of goodies. Still need to get an oil pan. Ronin speedworks engine mount in the mail, still saving for my t56 transmission. Hope everyone is doing well!

Those wheels look great! :)

So, let me make sure I got this straight: You want to put the LS-1 in your E????

Hahahahaha no! I posted an 86 rx7 a while back ^ the LS is going in there. I got the car as a rolling shell, and the engine basically fell in my lap from a coworker.
OK! Now I get it, after going backward into this thread! :)

Like they always say: "if we can put a man on the moon...." But putting an LS-1 into an Element might be one of the most involved swaps ever! :)
