It is but you'll need to disable the DRL's or move them to a different light source before installing HID's. The DRL system runs your headlight bulb at a lower voltage, hence the dimmer light, but that will harm a HID system.
I don't have DRL so I'm not familiar with the system but it's been discussed thoroughly how to disable it. Do a little looking around and I'm sure you'll find what you need.
