My 2004 Element EX just started making a high pitched sound when I'm doing over 40 mph seems to be coming from the front drivers side. Its driving me crazy so if anyone has any ideas what it could be I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

High pitched sound

You may want to have your brake pads inspected to see if they are worn down to the limit. You could also have a caliper hanging up (not releasing with your foot off the brake pedal) which would make the pad be in contact with the rotor. Those are a coulpe things to check.

Thanks for responses I should have explained more clearly its a continuous high pitched sound when I'm driving at higher speeds. I'm thinking perhaps air leak somewhere?

High pitched sound when going 70+ MPH

High pitched sound when going 70+ MPH...
The culpert was a defective front windshield installation of the gasket. The fix was to bring it back to the windshield installer to get some goop installed at the area.
