I saw these on ebay selling for $20 ebay item #3623284332 they are half the price I have seen them online. Now I can use my 2 inch bike rack on my 1 1/4 inch Element hitch.

Just be careful if you use one of those hitch mounted flat racks for piling extra stuff on...You want to keep the weight down.

I will have to agree. I have heard some horro stories about people putting too much weight on them and having accidents. That's one of the main reasons I bought a 2" hitch.

What's the difference between the 1.25" hitch and the new 2" hitch? What is the tongue capacity of the 2"? Does it mount differently? Inquiring minds want to know.

I can't imagine that the 2" hitch mounts any different than the 1.25". For center support, the 1.25" hitch uses a U bolt to attach to the tiedown that is welded to the bottom of the spare tire housing.

I think that tongue weight is more controlled by the design of the vehicle in this case.
