I have just been told my ‘03 std element is not road worthy due to rear end rust. Has anyone here ever sold one off for parts? Is it worth anything?

At the very minimum, a local salvage yard will probably give you the equivalent of about $300 US for it. I suggest listing it as-is in the Tradin' Post section here and some other member may be interested in it for parts. List the particulars and mileage on the drivetrain and condition of the rest of the vehicle.

I ended up getting $1000 from a hobbyist mechanic, hopefully he can fix it and keep it going!

Here in Toronto one local scrap yard quoted they would pay $500 Canadian to come pick up an Element, they didnt need any descripiton of it other than it has the legal title and is on four rolling wheels and tires
